Today, Queen Camilla headed out to Wimbledon for a bit of tennis, wearing a playful canine brooch from her collection for the occasion.
Queen Camilla arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Wednesday to attend matches during the annual Wimbledon Championships. During her visit, she was escorted by the club’s chairwoman, Debbie Jevans, and she had a chance to meet a couple of the young people serving as ball boys and ball girls during the tournament.
Jevans joined Queen Camilla and her sister, Annabel Elliot, in the stands to watch a match on Court One.
Later, Queen Camilla and her sister headed to the Royal Box, where they were seated near actors Richard E. Grant (who is a friend of Charles and Camilla) and Keira Knightley.
For her visit to the tournament, Camilla wore a cream-colored dress by Anna Valentine that features abstract embroidery in the shape of giraffes. Camilla previously wore the dress during a visit to Nairobi in November 2023.
Camilla accessorized with smart daytime jewelry pieces from her personal collection, including a pair of yellow gold earrings with pavé-set diamond pendants.
She also wore a playful dog clip on her dress. The brooch is part of the Lucky Animals line produced by Van Cleef & Arpels. Camilla owns numerous Lucky Animals clips, including hummingbird, squirrel, rabbit, hedgehog, owl, and dove brooches.
Here’s an image of the clip from the Van Cleef & Arpels website. The jewel is made of 18-carat yellow gold, mother-of-pearl, and onyx, and it retails currently for $7,200 USD.
The dog brooch has been in Camilla’s jewelry box for several years. Above, she wears the clip for a visit to the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home in December 2020. She was accompanied by one of her beloved pets, a Jack Russell terrier named Beth, for the engagement.
Here’s another view of Camilla wearing the dog brooch at Wimbledon on Wednesday.
Camilla finished off the look with her usual necklaces and bracelets, including a blue agate Vintage Alhambra bracelet, also from Van Cleef & Arpels.
