Today, the Prince and Princess of Monaco celebrate their wedding anniversary, and in their honor, I’ve got a look at one of the principality’s recent glittering events, featuring sparkling white and yellow diamonds.
Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene stepped out on the blue carpet for the Golden Nymph Awards, the final event of the 63rd annual Monte-Carlo International Television Festival, on June 18. The festival was created by Albert’s father, Prince Rainier III, in the 1960s to recognize excellent professional work in the medium across the world. (He may have had some sage advice close to home: his wife, Princess Grace, appeared often on television during the earliest years of her acting career.)
For this year’s closing event of the festival, Albert and Charlene were joined by some of the next generation of the Grimaldis: Princess Stephanie’s son, Louis Ducruet, and his wife, Marie, as well as Stephanie’s younger daughter, Camille Gottlieb. Louis and Marie Ducruet recently announced that they’re expecting their second child, a younger sibling for their daughter, Victoire Ducruet.
For the awards ceremony, Princess Charlene usually opts for an ensemble that adds a twist to traditional concepts of gala attire. This year, she opted for a white jumpsuit with lace panels on the bodice and a Grecian-inspired neckline. UFO No More tells us that the outfit was made by the designer Elie Saab.
This is also an event where Charlene traditional sparkles in some significant diamond jewelry. You’ll perhaps remember her major yellow and white diamond demi-parure from last year’s awards ceremony. This year, Charlene also reached for jewelry set with white and yellow diamonds, though on a slightly smaller scale.
Her earrings, which are shaped much like other pairs from her collection that come from Graff, feature white diamonds set on their French hook, plus a round white diamond from which a yellow-hued, pear-shaped diamond pendant is suspended.
She also added a white diamond bracelet to her right wrist. Per The Royal Couturier, this piece does come from Graff, which heightens my speculation that the earrings do, too.
I’ll close today with a look at the gowns and jewels worn by the ladies of Princess Stephanie’s family for the awards ceremony. Marie Ducruet shared on her Instagram account that her midnight blue dress comes from Crisoni Monte-Carlo. She paired it with accessories from another Monegasque brand, the fashion jewelry makers APM Monaco.
And here’s her sister-in-law, Camille Gottlieb, who is posing with The Good Doctor actor Will Yun Lee. Camille wore a wine-colored gown with a sparkling overlay on the bodice. UFO No More shares that the dress comes from the London-based brand Virgos Lounge.
I’ll be back here later today with jewels from today’s royal garden party in Scotland. See you then!
