Queen Camilla is a famous collector of jewelry by Van Cleef & Arpels, and she recently debuted yet another piece made by the brand during an appearance at Ascot.
On July 27, Queen Camilla headed to Ascot Racecourse near Windsor Castle to attend QIPCO King George Day. During the afternoon, she presented the trophy to the winners of the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth QIPCO Stakes, a race named after her husband’s grandparents. Here, she is pictured with Philip von Ullmann, the owner of the winning horse, Goliath. Camilla also watched as one of her horses, Handcuffed, competed in the Princess Margaret Stakes.
For her visit to the racecourse, Queen Camilla wore an iris-printed summer dress from a favorite royal brand, Suzannah London, paired with a straw picture hat.
Camilla also added several favorite jewelry accessories to the ensemble, wearing her go-to pair of diamond floral and pearl drop earrings, as well as her everyday necklaces, one of which features a pendant engraved with the initials of her grandchildren.
On her left wrist, however, Camilla wore something new: a textured gold bracelet set with blue gemstones. The bracelet, like so many of Camilla’s jewels, comes from Van Cleef & Arpels.
The bracelet appears to be part of the brand’s Perlée line, which it describes as a “joyfully playful” celebration, adding that the “natural beauty of the precious stones enters into a dialogue with the brilliance of the golden beads that border each piece.” The closest comparison to Camilla’s bracelet currently featured on the Van Cleef & Arpels website is this one, a five-row bracelet made of 18K yellow gold and set with diamonds.
Camilla’s Perlée bracelet, however, is not set with diamonds. Hers features blue gemstone accents, similar to this other piece from the same line, the Perlée couleurs ring made of yellow gold and set with sapphires.
Here’s another view that more clearly shows the sapphire blue stones in Camilla’s bracelet. For more on Camilla’s extensive collection of Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry pieces, head over to my previous article here!
