King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands headed to Walcheren for a regional visit last week, and Maxima wore some gleaming blue jewelry for the occasion.
On Tuesday, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima arrived in the Walcheren region of the province of Zeeland for a day of royal visits. The royal couple made stops in several towns, including Vlissingen, Middelburg, Veere, Serooskerke, and Domburg during the day-long tour.
For the regional visit, Queen Maxima wore blue and tan ensemble with a deconstructed lace look. ModeKoninginMaxima reminds us that the dress and hat both come from Natan. They were previously worn by Maxima during state visits to India in 2019 and Austria in 2022.
On both of those previous occasions, Maxima accessorized with pieces from Queen Juliana’s gorgeous married parure of aquamarine jewels. This time around, Maxima opted for different blue-toned jewels, including earrings and a brooch.
Here’s a closer look at the earrings, which are set with diamonds and feature milky blue cabochon gemstone drops.
At the place near Maxima’s right shoulder where the fabric of the dress is gathered, she pinned a brooch that also features blue cabochon gemstones. The details of this piece are a little tough to see, because the fabric falls over the jewel in most of the pictures from the regional visit.
This is just about the clearest view of the jewel that I was able to license for this article. It appears to be a gold brooch in the shape of a bird (a swan, maybe?) studded with diamonds and set with luminous blue gemstones made to resemble feathers.
Maxima also wore bracelets on both wrists and rings on both hands during the day tour.
Here’s a good look at her diamond wedding bracelet on her right wrist, as well as her diamond and aquamarine ring on her right hand and her engagement and wedding rings on her left.
The royal couple had the opportunity to stroll along the beach in Domburg, which is situated on the coast of the North Sea. Maxima changed her shoes for the beach walk, and she also added another accessory, a necklace which I believe was given to her during the visit.
Here’s a closer look at the necklace, which is made up of lots of different shells in shades of blue, black, white, and brown. It was sheer luck, I presume, that the necklace managed to coordinate so perfectly with Maxima’s outfit!
