The Queen of the Netherlands, wearing lovely jewelry set with diamonds and black pearls, was in Amsterdam on Tuesday for the opening of the new home of the Dutch National Ballet Academy.
Queen Máxima braved the rain on Tuesday as she arrived at the ballet academy’s brand-new building in Amsterdam. The new building, located at Nicolaas Tetterodestraat, has been under construction since 2022. The new school boasts seven studio spaces, one of which is large enough for performances, as well as additional classrooms and administrative spaces.
Queen Máxima was greeted by one of the school’s young pupils as she arrived to open the new facility. The academy trains promising young dancers, some of whom go on to dance with the Dutch National Ballet.
Máxima cut a ribbon to officially open the new ballet school during her visit.
For her day at the ballet, Máxima wore an ensemble in shades of green and gray, accessorized with jewelry set with diamonds and black pearls. Her eye-catching earrings were in the shape of flowers, with diamond-set petals and black pearl centers.
She added even more diamonds and pearls on her wrists, wearing a gold and diamond bangle stacked with her watch on her left wrist, plus her large black pearl bracelet on her right wrist.
She finished the look with her diamond and black pearl ring, worn on her right hand. We discussed the ring previously here.
ModeKoninginMaxima reminds us that the green Natan dress has been in Maxima’s closet for many years. She wore it for the opening of the “Royal Paradise” exhibition in Dordrecht in February 2017. On that occasion, she added an interesting grouping of jewels, including Ole Lynggaard Copenhagen girandole earrings, several bracelets, and a gold brooch pinned at her waist.
She also wore the dress again last November with slightly different pieces of black pearl jewelry. Which jewelry styling do you like best with the dress?
