The Queen of Spain was in the sparkling spotlight at the National Culture Awards last week, wearing a pair of gorgeous diamond earrings from Harry Winston.
King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain headed to the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid on Thursday for the presentation of the National Culture Awards. The awards are sponsored by the nation’s Ministry of Culture and Sport.
For the awards presentation, Queen Letizia wore an elegant white dress with embroidered silver lace accents on the bodice and the hem. UFO No More speculates that the dress may have been borrowed from her mother-in-law, Queen Sofia. Per Queen Letizia Style, Letizia paired the dress with silver shoes and a matching bag from Magrit.
Letizia echoed the silver tones of the lace, bag, and shoes by wearing a sparkling pair of diamond earrings from her personal jewelry collection.
The earrings, which come from Harry Winston, feature elaborate diamond studs with floral and ribbon design motifs and pear-shaped diamond pendants.
Letizia has had the earrings in her jewelry box for at least a decade. One of her most prominent early appearances in the earrings came during the celebrations of the Prince of Asturias Awards ten years ago in October 2014.
More recently, we saw her wear the earrings last October as she and King Felipe welcomed European heads of state and government to a reception at the Alhambra. (She clearly likes to wear the earrings in October!)
Here’s another excellent look at the earrings sparkling on Queen Letizia as she helped hand out the prizes during Thursday’s awards ceremony in Madrid.
As usual, Letizia wore just one more piece of jewelry with her ensemble: a gold ring from the brand Coreterno. She’s been wearing the ring on her left hand for over a year, after debuting it during on Epiphany Day in 2023. The ring, thought to be a gift from King Felipe, features text inside and out. The phrase Amor che tutto move, which can be found on the outside of the ring, comes from Dante’s Divine Comedy. (It translates to “Love moves everything.”) The engraving on the inside of the ring reads, “As long as I’m existing you will be loved.”
