On Friday, members of the British royal family joined the Princess of Wales at Westminster Abbey for the annual Together at Christmas carol service, wearing plenty of gleaming holiday jewels.
The Prince and Princess of Wales arrived at Westminster Abbey with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, for the annual service. They were joined by many more members of the extended Windsor family, including the Duchess of Edinburgh; Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi (with Wolfie); Zara Tindall; Lady Sarah and Daniel Chatto and Samuel Chatto; the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester and George Gilman (with Lyla); the Duke of Kent, Lady Helen Taylor, the Earl of St. Andrews, and Lady Marina Charlotte Windsor; Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Lady Gabriella Kingston, and Lord and Lady Frederick Windsor (with Maud and Isabella). Kate’s parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, were also at the service, as was her sister, Pippa Matthews, and her brother and sister-in-law, James and Alizee Middleton.
For the service, which was filmed and will air in Britain on ITV on Christmas Eve, Princess Catherine wore a festive red coat with a black bow detail over a red tartan dress.
She accessorized with a modern pair of earrings featuring gold-plated studs and baroque pearl drops. UFO No More shares that they are the Amberley Baroque Pearl Earrings from Mulberry.
Kate also wore one of her golden Halcyon Days bangle bracelets on her right wrist and her sapphire and diamond engagement ring on her left hand.
The Duchess of Edinburgh wore a dress with a bold paisley print and a cream-colored jacket for the service, paired with suede boots.
Sophie’s accessories included golden hoop earrings and a necklace with a pendant that appears to be set with diamonds.
Princess Beatrice has recently pierced her ears, and she appears to have wore a small pair of sleeper-style hoops for the carol service.
Zara Tindall wore a festive burgundy velvet trouser suit for the carol service.
Her coordinating earrings appear to have a modern floral design.
The Duchess of Gloucester was elegant as always in a pink coat for the service, paired with classic pearl drop earrings and a pearl necklace that just peeked out from beneath her collar.
The Kents, including the Duke of Kent and Prince and Princess Michael, are pictured arriving here for the service. Marie Christine wore a bright red cape for the occasion.
She also wore a pair of pearl button earrings with enamel detailing, as well as a large sparkling leaf brooch.
Here are three of the Kent cousins together in the Abbey: Lady Helen Taylor, daughter of the Duke of Kent, in red; Lady Gabriella Kingston, daughter of Prince Michael, in green; and Lady Marina Charlotte Windsor, granddaughter of the Duke of Kent, in a furry coat with a floral skirt.
Lady Ella wore an interesting pair of golden earrings with a fan design for the service.
And here’s Prince and Princess Michael’s son, Lord Frederick, arriving with his wife, Sophie, and their daughters, Maud and Isabella. Sophie wore lovely pearls with her tartan coat for the occasion. I’m still hoping to see a photograph of Lady Sarah’s jewels for the event, and I’ll update the post if/when I do.
There will be more sparkle tomorrow here at The Court Jeweller, with a look at the jewels worn for the state banquet in Denmark, and at Hidden Gems, with a deep dive into the royal wedding of King Philippe and Queen Mathilde. See you then!
