No foolin’ today—this weekend brought us some major diamonds at the Rose Ball in Monaco, including a spectacular antique Chaumet jewel, a Cartier necklace, and a gorgeous bracelet that belonged to Princess Grace.

The Prince and Princess of Monaco were joined by his sister, the Princess of Hanover, as they arrived for the annual Bal de Rose at Sporting Monte-Carlo on Saturday. With them was the designer Christian Louboutin, who collaborated with Princess Caroline on the theme and design for this year’s event: “The Sunset Ball,” inspired by the colors of the Caribbean. The gala, as always, was a charity event benefitting the Princess Grace Foundation.

Prince Albert, Princess Charlene, and Princess Caroline were joined at the gala by several more members of Caroline’s family: Andrea and Tatiana Casiraghi, Charlotte Casiraghi, Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi, and Princess Alexandra of Hanover and Ben-Sylvester Strautmann.

For the ball, Princess Charlene was elegant in a black gown with a green-gold Chantilly lace sleeve and overlay. The Royal Couturier shares that the dress was made by Dolce & Gabbana.

With the ensemble, Charlene wore a lovely pair of earrings. Per UFO No More, these are also from Dolce & Gabbana. They’re made of yellow and white gold and set with diamonds and green tourmalines.

Princess Caroline was chic in an ivory off-the-shoulder dress from Chanel. She accessorized with several special pieces. With her classic diamond drop earrings, Caroline wore her nineteenth-century Chaumet diamond reed ornament. She wore her white and black pearl rings on her left hand, and on her right wrist, she wore a diamond lattice bracelet with important family history. The bracelet, made by Van Cleef & Arpels, was one of the wedding presents offered to her mother, Princess Grace, as a wedding present by the people of Monaco in 1956.

There were some impressive gowns and jewels on the other ladies of the extended family as well. Princess Caroline’s younger daughter, Princess Alexandra, wore a pink ballgown with sparkling diamond earrings and a diamond fringe necklace. UFO No More shares that the dress is a Giambattista Valli creation, while the necklace comes from Cartier.

Also elegantly attired was Charlotte Casiraghi, who wore a Chanel gown and gorgeous Art Deco diamond earrings borrowed from her mother. Beside her, Tatiana Casiraghi wears an Erdem dress and pink statement earrings. And Beatrice Borromeo Casiraghi, always dependable for a classic fashion moment, wore a dramatic red chiffon gown from Dior, paired with Tiffany jewels. (If you look closely, you’ll note that she’s wearing one of the company’s Bird on a Rock brooches in her hair, plus earrings and a necklace from the same collection.)

Prince Albert also had a theme-appropriate accessory to wear with his black tuxedo: a bucket hat with a bright tropical floral print.
