Queen Letizia Brings a Rainbow of Gemstones to the University of Granada

Spring is in full bloom here at The Court Jeweller HQ, and I was delighted to see Queen Letizia bring out a bright and colorful pair of earrings for a recent outing in Spain.

On Tuesday, Queen Letizia headed to the University of Granada, where she visited the Mind, Brain, and Behaviour Research Centre. The center’s website describes their mission: they “bring together world-class research in several key areas of Psychology and Neuroscience with the mission to produce excellent international science, train excellent professionals and go to great lengths to impact society and make the world a better place for its citizens.”

During the visit, Letizia attended a presentation by the chair of the center and toured the facility. For the occasion, she wore a bright coral-red sweater and a coordinating pleated skirt. Her accessories included her Coreterno ring, worn on her left hand as always, and a colorful pair of earrings.

The long earrings feature a variety of semi-precious stones in shades of yellow, pink, green, purple, orange, and red. While Letizia owns some pairs of similar earrings that feature different stones in the left and right earrings, this pair features the same stones on the left and right.

The earrings appear to have been made by a company that has supplied earrings to Letizia for some time: Bounkit. The brand shared an Instagram story on Wednesday that identified the earrings as coming from their company. The pair they share in a close-up photo is a similar style, but it has some differences to the pair worn by Letizia.

Here’s a closer look at Letizia’s left earring. Bounkit’s earrings are advertised as interchangeable and customizable. The Kelly earrings that they shared in their Instagram story offer the following gemstones as options: green amethyst, lemon quartz, aquamarine, amethyst, blue quartz, clear quartz, and moonstone. To me, Letizia’s pair look to be set with slightly different stones. I think I spot a citrine and perhaps a peridot in the mix.
